At the end of every epoch the keeper computes what each wallet earned, builds a merkle tree, and posts one root on chain. Your proof is a handful of hashes that only work for your address and your exact weight. Nobody can forge one, and nobody can change yours after the fact.
The claim function pays the account named in the leaf, not whoever sent the transaction. So a friend, a bot or we ourselves can settle a whole day for holders who never open this page, and the money still lands in the right wallet.
An unclaimed epoch can be swept back to the reserve after 90 days, which funds later epochs instead of stranding value forever. Nothing is swept early and the deadline is on chain, not a policy on a website.
